Roth Child

Built for the owner, Nigel, who wanted a Hotrod style bobber (we call it a swingbob as it has rear shocks) but also wanted to pay homage to Ed Roth, the custom painter from the U.S. who was one of the pioneers of matalflake paintwork.

It's loud, lairy and boy, does it turn heads.

It sports wide 16" rims with fat white wall Avon Gangsta tyres which required new wider fork yokes to be made and some work on the swing arm to get them to fit.

The engine was given a thorough makeover including a Siebenrock performance big bore kit with high comp. pistons, new clutch, cam chain kit, electronic ignition and overhauled gearbox.

Short polished stainless headers were made and mated up with short reverse cone chrome mega's.

The rear of the frame was modified and now has 'laid down' Progressive shocks, single seat finished in white leather with orange stitching, L.E.D. brass tailight and micro Motogadget indicators.

Up front, 1" bars with newly machined clamps were fitted and adorned with custom levers and Motogadget micro switches, a huge 9" brass headlamp from a 1940's car, modified to fit, along with a brass mini Motogadget speedo and micro indicators.

The small gel battery was tucked inside the tank for a clean look and a custom loom with a Motogadget M unit controller takes care of the electrics.

Satin chocolate brown was the colour chosen for the frame and swing arm and a vibrant Roth Flake Tropi Cali Orange for the tank, wheel rims and headlamp.

Rothchild was featured at this years London Bike Shed Show where it 'wowed' the crowds and received many great comments.
